The 20th anniversary of the crazy popular Pokémon franchise continues this month as Pokkén Tournament is now choosable on the Wii U. After hitting arcades in Japan last year, the Bandai-Namco-developed Tekken-style Pokémon fighting game has now arrived on Wii U consoles worldwide. Though the title may be influenced by some of Namco's harder-core fighting games, Pokkén Tournament was also designed to be a bit more accessible to newer and younger fighting game players. The arcade version even featured a standard console-style controller in place of the traditional arcade stick and buttons.
Also out in the past two weeks, Game Boy Advance Virtual Console versions of the dual-release pair of Mega Man Battle Network 6 games, and a new pair of NES Virtual Console releases. I choose you, Pikachu Libre! Jump past the break to see more of this fortnight's new releases.
