Well, it's the end of May and this month has shaped up to be a pretty decent one for Nintendo fans. First, there was the big announcement about a new Paper Mario game coming in July. Then, we received a multi-platform remaster of a previously Wii U-exclusive title from PlatinumGames; and this week finally saw the arrival of the highly-anticipated Switch remake of the Wii and (New) 3DS critical darling, Xenoblade Chronicles. Here's hoping June can keep the excitement going.

Also out in the past four weeks, a brand new entry in WayForward's generally excellent Shantae series; and an intriguing new multiplayer action-RPG set in the Minecraft universe. I'm really feeling it! Jump past the break to see more new releases from the last 28 days.

The crime rate is rising and law and order are dying, so return to the streets of rage as Axel or Blaze (amongst others) and restore order like only they can. Streets of Rage 4 is the extremely welcome, long overdue follow-up to the legendary Genesis beat 'em up trilogy. This entry brings the series a fresh art style, some new tunes, and a few thoughtful updates to the mostly otherwise classic gameplay. We aren't sure yet whether or not this entry is exactly what we would have had in mind but we are, nevertheless, very grateful it exists.
