Notable New Game Releases: Streets of Rage 4

The crime rate is rising and law and order are dying, so return to the streets of rage as Axel or Blaze (amongst others) and restore order like only they can. Streets of Rage 4 is the extremely welcome, long overdue follow-up to the legendary Genesis beat 'em up trilogy. This entry brings the series a fresh art style, some new tunes, and a few thoughtful updates to the mostly otherwise classic gameplay. We aren't sure yet whether or not this entry is exactly what we would have had in mind but we are, nevertheless, very grateful it exists.

Also out in the past four weeks, a brand new, tactical-focused entry in the (nearly) always fantastic Gears of War series; a much-anticipated remake of the longtime Japan exclusive, Trials of Mana; and one part of the (also) much-anticipated Final Fantasy VII remake.
