The Weekly New Game Releases: Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order

We're back for the second week in a row, with more new releases. Although to be quite honest, it was a little hard to find enough noteworthy releases from just this past week. We really kinda had to stretch a bit near the bottom. That being the case, perhaps we were a touch overzealous when we said we would do this every week going forward. We will try, certainly, but depending on the quantity of quality releases from week to week, it may realistically need to often be an every two or three weeks type of thing. We'll just have to see hot it goes.

At any rate, the biggest release this week without question was (EA and) Respawn Entertainment's hotly-anticipated Star Wars game, Jedi - Fallen Order. Ever since E3, we have been practically counting down the days until we could get our hands on this title. Here's hoping it's better than EA's 2017 Star Wars disaster, Battlefront II.

Also out this past week, the latest Pokemon twofer, Sword and Shield; the third entry in the Romancing SaGa...saga; and the Arcade Archive, Yie Ar Kung-Fu. Become a Jedi, then jump past the break to see more new releases from the last 7 days.

The Weekly New Game Releases: NFS: Heat

Hello 12/12 readers. For far too long now we have been much too infrequent with what was initially supposed to be weekly articles highlighting the latest new game releases on the PlayStation Store,  Nintendo eShop, and Steam. At the same time, we've been completely ignoring other great platforms like the Xbox Games Store and GOG. We would like to apologize for that. In an effort to simultaneously remedy all of these glaring issues, starting today we will be switching to a new all-encompassing article, simply titled, The Weekly New Game Releases. And, yes, we are going to try to stick to a weekly frequency this time.

For our first article in this new format, we will be covering all of the big new releases from just this past week, including the arguable highlight, NFS: Heat. Though likely very similar to its 2017 predecessor, this new Need For Speed entry does feature a few key differences such as the exclusion of loot boxes, the inclusion of Ferraris, and a brand new dynamic weather system. Plus, it's a new Need For Speed so it's got to be at least some fun to play, right?

Also out this past week, Layton's Mystery Journey for the Switch; Death Stranding for the PlayStation 4; and another River City (Ransom) game for multiple platforms. Be unruly, be expressive, then jump past the break to see these new releases, in addition to a few others that we were several weeks overdue posting about.
