This past week saw the release of one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year. Much like Doom 3, the new Doom is technically a reboot of the series (that they were originally also planning to call Doom 4). Both games also feature updated mechanics and slick new cutting-edge graphics while retaining that same great Doom flavor that you know and love so well. Basically, if you like Doom, but you would prefer to experience an updated refresh about every decade or so, it looks like id Software has you covered.
Also out in the past two weeks, Naughty Dog's highly-anticipated 4th main installment to the Uncharted series, a PS4 remaster of Sega's excellent tactical RPG, Valkyria Chronicles, and Deep Silver's brand new sequel to THQ's 2011 near-future first-person shooter, Homefront. Fight like hell, then jump past the break to see more of this fortnight's new releases.
