All week long, the Steam Store is featuring a sale on Japanese indie games, in honor of Summer Comiket. "Exactly what is Comiket?", you might be asking yourself. I'm glad you might have asked that, because I only just found out, myself. Evidently, "Comiket" (a contraction of "Comic Market") is an indie manga festival that is held twice a year in Tokyo. The Winter Comiket will take place later this year in December, and the Summer one is happening this very weekend.
Steam is featuring over 50 games in the indie festival sale, including Japanese RPGs, visual novels, and platformers. The highlights in my opinion, though, are the fantastic shoot 'em ups they have on offer. Supercharged Robot Vulkaiser, Kamui, and, especially, the exquisite Arcade port XIIZeal are all well worth the crazy discounted prices. If you haven't yet played any of those games, I would strongly recommend taking advantage of this sale. While you are there, you can feel free to take a look at some of the other incredible indie deals as well.
