Welcome back to the New PlayStation Store Releases! Apologies for the absence. In the time we were away, there were quite a few fantastic new releases, particularly this past week. That saw the arrival of two of the most anticipated games of 2018, God of War (4) and Yakuza 6. God of War, arguably more so, as it is the first series title to appear on the PlayStation 4, as well as the first entry in over 5 years (whereas Yakuza 0 just came out last year). What makes this God of War unique (aside from the missing ordinal number), is that Kratos now has a son to look after, and the story is based around a Norse mythological setting as opposed to a Greek one. And if the critical reviews are anything to go by, this one's a winner.
Also out in the last four months, the aforementioned (and nearly-equally-hotly-anticipated next installment to the Yakuza series) Yakuza 6 (The Song of Life); the best Dragon Ball (Z, or otherwise) video game ever made; and the very popular Monster Hunter: World. Venture into the brutal Norse wilds, outside the shadow of the gods, then jump past the break to see more new releases from the past 18 weeks.
